It is being claimed that some things changed "over the years" after Russell died, "such as the dropping the idiotic pyramidology."
1) Russell nevcr mentioned pyramidology, and as that word is often used today to mean some kind of heathen occult spiritism, he did not believe is such. He -- like many other Christians -- did believe that the Great Pyramid of Egypt is God's Witness in Egypt. The evidence is overwhelming, and definitely not idiotic at all, that the Great Pyramid is indeed God's Witness in Egypt. At the same time, like Brother Russell, I would not be dogmatic about accepting the Great Pyramid as God's Witness. ctr-rlbible.com/?page_id=2853 rl-bibleinfo.com/?page_id=276
2) Rutherford, by the way the "dropped" the Great Pyramid teachings, in effect, attributed Satan with having knowledge of the Bible long before the Bible was written. Rutherford, however, had begun to use the time prophecies of the Bible in an effort to bolster his "organization" dogma; he evidently realized that he could not do this if he continued to support the Great Pyramid as God's Witness in Egypt.
3) Russell was never actually a member of the Second Adventists, although he did openly state his gaining an understanding of many Bible truths through some who were, or had been, with the Second Adventists. Russell never accepted many of the major doctrines associated with the Second Adventists, especially that of the burning up of the planet earth and the annihilation of all but a few chosen saints, which he actively preached against. ctr-rlbible.com/?p=346 ctr-rlbible.com/?p=3212
