Jesus was certainly more than a prophet -- he was the Son of the Most High (Luke 1:32,35), the promised seed who would take away the sin of the whole world. -- Genesis 3:15; John 1:29; Hebrews 9:26.
His God and Father (Ephesians 1:3; 1 Peter 1:3) prepared a body for him that would not be tainted by the condemnation upon the world in Adam. -- Romans 5:12-19: Hebrews 10:5.
Before he became flesh, he was a mighty (THEOS) spirit being, even before the world of mankind had been made through him. -- John 1:1-3,10; 17:1,3,5.
When he became flesh, he no longer had the celestial glory, but, unlike the world condemned in Adam (Romans 5:12-19; 1 Corinthians 15:39-41,21,22) he did have a sinless terrestrial glory, a little lower than the angels, that he might be the sin-offering to God for our sins. -- Romans 3:23; 5:12-19; 1 Corinthians 15:39-41; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Ephesians 5:2; Hebrews 2:9; 10:10; 1 John 2:2.
