The claim is being made regarding Psalm 82:6 that "we are all gods and goddesses in this world. Everything else in this world are just waiting for us to excercise that godship our God has given to us. God gave us supremacy, power and dominion over all creatures and powers and principalities in air, sea and earth (Gen 1:28)."
The above would not fit what is stated in Psalm 82:6,7 and John 10:34-36.
Psalm 82:6
I [Yahweh] said, "You are gods, All of you are sons of the Most High.
Psalm 82:7
Nevertheless you shall die like men, And fall like one of the rulers."
John10:34
Jesus answered them, "Isn't it written in your law, 'I said, you are gods?'
John 10:35
If he called them gods, to whom the word of God [Logos of God] came (and the Scripture can't be broken),
John 10:36
Do you say of him whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, 'You blaspheme,' because I said, 'I am the Son of God?'
John 1:10
He [the Logos of God] was in the world, and the world was made through him, and the world didn't recognize him.
John 1:11
He came to his own [Israel], and those who were his own didn't receive him.
John 1:12
But as many as received him, to them he gave the right to become God's children, to those who believe in his name:
John 1:13
who were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
Thus, the conclusion is that the sons of the Most High in Psalm 82:6 are those who become the regenerated sons of God in the New Testament, to whom the Logos of God came, and who received power through the holy spirit. (Acts 1:8) Scriptures record how, as a group, most of these do not progress in developing the fruit of the spirit, and thus they will die as babes in Christ, as men, not having completed their call to die as Jesus died. -- 1 Corinthians 3:1; Philippians 3:10-14.
Note, however, that it says that they will fall like one of the rulers; this is evidently speaking of rulers of this world who are not sons of the Most High. Thus, "sons of the Most High" cannot be referring the disobedient children of Adam, since the rulers of the world are indeed included in the the offspring of Adam.

Nevertheless, Adam, before he sinned, was indeed a "son of God" (Luke 3:38), and in the dominion given to him (Genesis 1:26,28; Psalm 8:5-8; Hebrews 2:6-8), one could say that Adam was to be a god. Adam, however, became sinful; a son of God, as long as he remains in God, is not sinful, and commits no sin. (1 John 3:6,8) Thus, as it states in Hebrews 2:8, we do not yet see all these things subjected to man. When Adam sinned, he and all of his offspring became no longer sons of God, but the seed of the serpent (Genesis 3:15, the children of wrath, sons of disobedience. (Ephesians 2:2,3) Mankind came be in subjection to the present sun of vanity, crookedness, corruption -- the opposite of righteousness, being straight, justified. (Ecclesiastes 1:2-15; Romans 8:20-22) Although Jesus came into this world that is filled with sons of disobedience, most of these did not recognize him, and thus they did not become regenerated sons of the Most High. (John 1:10-12) Only those who are begotten again of the holy spirit become sons of God, and are thus, as sons, are sinless new creatures in Christ. -- John 3:3,5,7; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Ephesians 2:1-10.
