Hello bornagainchristian
Well, what can I say? You state: “Since you cannot show me from the bible where it says that "there are three Gods", then you are the one whose counting Gods and not the bible.”
Actually it is Almighty God who stipulates the number of Gods recognized by himself and their relative positions.
(1) Almighty God whose name is Jehovah. (Exodus 6:3) KJV
If this is not a God, then what is it?
(2) The Mighty God and Prince of Peace [Christ Jesus] (Isaiah 9:6) KJV
If this is not a God, then what is it?
(3) The god of this world [Satan] (2 Corinthians 4:4) KJV
If this is not a God, then what is it?
You continue: “The bible is clear that Yahweh alone is God and nobody else.
To believe that there are three Gods or many Gods is already unbiblical.”
Oh dear, this puts you in direct opposition to the Apostle Paul and the three statements I have just given you! To us, there is one Almighty God and Creator; but as the Apostle Paul states: “There are many “gods” and many “lords”.” (1 Corinthians 8:5, 6)
The problem is that you are reading scriptures but as Jesus points out; failing to discern the meaning. Here is an example of your failing to discern the sense of what is presented:
You state: “Is Jesus Almighty, Omnipresent, Omniscient, Holy and Eternal? Yes, therefore he is God.”
Wrong! Nowhere in the Holy Scriptures is Jesus referred to as “Almighty”. If he was, then that would give us two Almighty Gods of which neither of them could be.
Also, when Jesus completed the task of which Almighty God gave him while on earth, he was rewarded with immortality, something he did not have before; which means again that he certainly was not Almighty God!
You continue: “Is Satan Almighty, Omnipresent, Omniscient, Holy and Eternal? No, therefore he is not God.”
Correct, he is not Almighty God and never was, but he is still the god of this present world order as stated in 2 Corinthians 4:4 by the Apostle Paul; or are you calling him a liar?
You continue: The Father and the Son are both Almighty and Mighty.
The Son has equality with the Father.
Philippians 2:5-6
New International Version (NIV)
This is an incorrect statement, the New International Version (NIV) states:
5 In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in very nature God,
did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;
7 rather, he made himself nothing
by taking the very nature of a servant,
being made in human likeness.
8 And being found in appearance as a man,
he humbled himself
by becoming obedient to death—
even death on a cross! (Philippians 2:5-8) NIV
Also we have some further translations which state: But Christ, "being in the form of God, counted it not a thing to be grasped to be on equality with God, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men." Phil. 2:6, 7, R. V., margin.”
But Christ, “existing in the form of God; never developed the desire to be equal with God; but transformed himself to become lower than the angels by taking on the form of man.” (Philippians 2:6, 7) NMTCS [The ‘theory’ of the Trinity, demolished!]
Even the Trinitarians favourite scripture shows that they are in gross error when the original Greek translation is consulted:
Scripture: John 1:1 “In a beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and a god was the Word.” (Wilson's Emphatic Diaglott - V20b Vat Ms 1209 – one of the oldest in existence)
Scripture: (John 1:1) “In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with Almighty GOD and the Word was a created God.” NMTCS
Scripture: John 1:18 “No man has seen God at any time; the only-begotten God who is in the bosom position with the Father is the one that has explained him.” NWT
Scripture: John 1:18 “1No man has ever seen God at any time; the only [e]unique Son, or [f]the only begotten God, Who is in the bosom [in the intimate presence] of the Father, He has declared Him [He has revealed Him and brought Him out where He can be seen; He has interpreted Him and He has made Him known].(G)” AMP
Scripture: John 1:18 “No man has seen GOD at any time; the only-created God who is in the bosom position with the Father is the one that has explained him.” NMTCS [Original Greek Translation]
If Jesus was God then his sacrifice becomes nul and void because it required a corresponding ransom to be paid, a perfect human life for a perfect human life. This is why when Jesus asked his Apostles who he was, Peter replied: “You are the Christ, the Son of God. If he had been part of a Trinity, the answer would have been: “You are the Christ, God the Son. So even the Apostle Peter is in opposition to you!
Here is an excerpt from my extensive file on the Trinity:
“Although the word Trinity was indeed confirmed by the Church Father Tertullian, in Gibbon’s ‘The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire’ the original document by the hand of Theodosius Magnus himself, is cited presenting the Trinitarian doctrine formulated by Helen the Mother of Constantine Magnus in 324 A.D declaring that all those embracing the Trinity shall henceforth be known as Catholic; thereby establishing the Catholic Church on the foundation of this Apostate Doctrine.
Through this information we can confirm that the Christian Trinity and the Catholic Church was invented by the Emperor Theodosius Magnus in 380 A.D. Therefore it is not the ‘Mother’ church as it claims due to the fact that the original Christian movement ‘The Way’ (Acts 9:2; 19:9, 23; 24:14) was already in existence during the time of Jesus.”
[Excerpt from TRINITY-exposed]
Also, consider this:
“Due to the fact that the Word was created personally by Almighty God, he therefore receives the designation ‘only-begotten’ due to the fact that after this all other things in creation were created by him under his Father’s instruction. (Proverbs 8:22-31)
If Jesus was Almighty God incarnate as the Trinitarians claim, he too would have been immortal and impossible to destroy; therefore he would still be hanging there alive!
