Objections on the Deity of the Son:
God is omniscient or all-knowing, He knows all things. The Son does not know the day and the hour of his coming to restore the kingdom, therefore he is not omniscient, he does not know all things, therefore he cannot be God.
Mark 13:32
New King James Version (NKJV)
32 “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.
Answer:
a. The Son is one person having two natures, he is 100% God and 100% Man, Divine and Human. When the Son said that no one knows the day and the hour of his coming to restore the kingdom, he is speaking in respect of his humanity. He is saying that only God knows, no angels or humans including himself being human, knows it. So the Son in his humanity is just like us, he does not know the day and the hour of his coming to restore the kingdom (Mark 13:32).
b. However, the Son being God, (in his Divinity), knows the day or the hour of his coming.
Acts 1:6-7
New King James Version (NKJV)
6 Therefore, when they had come together, they asked Him, saying, “Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” 7 And He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority.
c. If you pay attention on verse 7, the Son said to his disciples, "It is not for you to know times or seasons" take note: the Son did not say "It is not for us to know times or seasons." So by not including himself, it is implying that the Son do know times or seasons; he knows the day or the hour of his coming to restore the kingdom.
d. Are there any proofs that the Son is Omniscient, that he knows all things? Yes.
John 16:30
New King James Version (NKJV)
30 Now we are sure that You know all things, and have no need that anyone should question You. By this we believe that You came forth from God.”
John 21:17
New King James Version (NKJV)
17 He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?” Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, “Do you love Me?”
And he said to Him, “Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You.”
Jesus said to him, “Feed My sheep.
e. The Son being human is just like us, he does not know everything (Mark 13:32).
f. The Son being God is Omniscient, he knows all things (Acts 1:6-7, John 16:30 and John 21:17)
