If Jesus returns in the flesh that he was supposed to have sacrificed as an offering to his God on our behalf, then he did not really sacrifice that flesh, and we are left without a savior from sin and death in Adam; it would mean that the man Christ Jesus did not really offer himself as a ransom for all. The idea that Jesus is still a human being and will be forever a human being denies the very purpose for which Jesus came in the flesh, that is, to give his flesh for the life of the world. -- Luke 22:19; John 3:17; 6:51; 12:47,48; Romans 5:8,12-19; 1 Corinthians 11:24; 15:45; Colossians 2:9,10; Ephesians 1:3,17-23; 5:2; 1 Timothy 2:5,6; Hebrews 2:9; 10:10; 1 Peter 3:18; 1 John 4:2,3,9.
