{Psalm 146:5} Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in Jehovah, his God,, RLIV
“Happy New Year!” Will you be happy in the new year? None of us can or should expect to be jovial every minute of the year. To be “happy”, however, in the sense of a Christian, means to be happy, trusting in the Heavenly Father, come what may. It is a happiness that results from being at peace with God (Romans 5:1) and having the peace of God (Philippians 4:7; Colossians 3:15), through which the Christian can find contentment with whatever God may allow. Make happiness happen – look to the Heavenly Father, find wisdom, have mercy on the poor, trust in Yahweh, rely on His Holy Spirit to lead by means of His Word. Happiness doesn’t come to the person who is determined to be bored or complaining. The happiest people are not the people with the fewest troubles, but the people who use the troubles as stepping stones.
