Mine eyes are ever toward Jehovah; For he will pluck my feet out of the net. -- Psalm 25:15, American Standard Version
The Bible promises that God will “keep the feet of his saints” (1 Samuel 2:9). Our heavenly Father is our protector and preserver and has promised to take care of us. This thought is captured in the words of the familiar hymn:
“I know not what awaits me,
God kindly veils mine eyes.
And o’er each step of my onward way,
He makes new scenes to rise.
And ev’ry joy he sends me comes,
A sweet and glad sur prise.
Where He may lead I’ll follow,
My trust in him repose;
And ev’ry hour in perfect peace
I’ll sing, he knows, he knows.
”
God ... has affirmed his commitment to deliver us from difficulties which might over take us if he did not lead us out (1 Corinthians 10:13). ==================== Excerpt from "Leg, Feet, and Toes" (by Tim Thomassen), Herald of Christ's Kingdom, January/February 2006.
