It is being claimed that Revelation 5:13,14 shows the One seated on the throne AND THE LAMB BOTH Being worshipped in heaven. I have been asked if I think that this scripture is WRONG?
My reply:
I do not think the scripture is wrong; why should I?
{Revelation 5:13} I heard every created thing which is in heaven, on the earth, under the earth, on the sea, and everything in them, saying, "To him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb be the blessing, the honor, the glory, and the dominion, forever and ever! Amen!" {Revelation 5:14} The four living creatures said, "Amen!" The elders fell down and worshiped.
And David said to all the assembly, Now bless Jehovah your God. And all the assembly blessed Jehovah, the God of their fathers, and bowed down their heads, and worshipped Jehovah, and the king. - (1 Chronicles 29:20, American Standard Version)
One could read Revelation 5:14 as saying that the elders fell down and worshiped both Him who sits on the throne, as well as the Lamb. Or it could understood that the elders fell down and worshiped Him who sits on the throne. At any rate, it doesn't matter. If it is saying that the four elders worshiped both Him who is on the thone (Jehovah)and also the Lamb, it would not mean that the worship given to the Lamb is the worship ony due to Jehovah, any more than the worship given to Jehovah and the king in 1 Chronicles 29:20 means that the king received the worship that is only due to Jehovah.
