The Gay Marriage Law – How Do We Respond? Christian Questions Radio
The world is changing. It is changing at an ever quickening pace and it is changing in a more dramatic and fundamental way than ever, as well. Within the last few months, the Supreme Court of the United States ruled in favor of gay marriage, changing the definition of a 6,000-year old institution. Okay, so what should we as Christians be doing now? Complain? Protest? Fight? Accept? What does the Bible really say about marriage, homosexuality and our Christian responsibilities?
Concerning the question of homosexuallity. A reading of Genesis 19 gives the answer to what will occure at the next judgment which is coming upon this Earth. God only tolerates such actions for a given time set by Himself. Then comes total distruction.
I have had conversation with such people on the inner-net. Many claim the title of Christians. A true Christian is a follower of the Christ life; not of man's life styles. Claiming a title is one thing, walking a spiritual walk in Christ Jesus is a totally different thing from mans way. It is up to each indivual to chose their path in this world; if they chose a path of spiritual distruction, then so be it; they chose it themselves.
As far as the true Christian is concerned, they know better and will not follow such a life style. That is because a true follower of Christ is given the spiritual knowledge they require for their walk with Jehovah Elohim and His Christ. So the question has a simple answer: You get what you sew! For a true christian to argue with such as this is needless; God will judge in His time.
Eph 5:4-7 Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks. For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. Be not ye therefore partakers with them.
