One presented a study in another forum that presented conclusions that appear to be saying that in the beginning God created an evil world, and then he created light for that evil world. This would not be in harmony with Genesis 6:12; Ecclesiastes 7:29; Romans 5:12-19; 8:20; 2 Peter 1:4; and other scriptures that indicate that the world became corrupted due to man's sin. God did not create an evil world, and then provide light for his newly-created evil world. The Genesis account does indeed tell of his creation of the skies and the land upon the already existing planet we call earth.
Additionally, the what was presented appears to be saying that the Logos was created in the first day of creation. This would not be in harmony with John 1:3,10, which shows that God created the world of mankind by means of the Logos. The Logos, as well as many other sons of God, were already in existence before the beginning spoken of in Genesis 1:1. (Job 38:4-7) These sons of God are not humans, but are sons of God possessing celestial, spiritual bodily glory, not the terrestrial, fleshly, bodily glory. (1 Corinthians 15:39-41) Jesus, being the firstborn Son of God (Colossians 1:15), was therefore the first of these Sons of God that came into being, while the rest of these spirit beings were brought forth into existence through, by means of, the firstborn Son of God. (Colossians 1:16) Indeed, the Logos had to already be in existence before the beginning of the world of mankind (John 17:5), if the world was created through him, as the scripture says. -- John 1:10.
Jesus was the "light of the world" while he was in the days of his flesh; he was the light because he was born without the taint of sin from Adam (Romans 5:12-19), and, unlike Adam, he remained obedient to God throughout his life. -- John 9:5; 2 Corinthians 5:21; 2 Timothy 1:10; Hebrews 4:15; 5:7; 10:5; 1 Peter 2:22; 1 John 3:5.
