Our Lord forewarned us of ... various theories of salvation through another channel than that which God has provided. He declared Himself to be the only door into the sheepfold, and that all who attempt to get into it otherwise are thieves and robbers — that no man can come unto the Father save through Him. (John 14:6.) We therefore warn against every theory which attempts to present mercy and restoration to divine favor otherwise than through faith in Christ's sacrifice.
