Two Pillars and Russell
Some have noticed an illustration of two pillars on an advertisement for the Photo Drama of Creation, and have imagined and assumed that these two pillars are Masonic, and it is thus offered as a proof that Russell was a member of the Freemasons. The advertisement appears to have been designed after Russell's death, and I have not found the exact illustration as used in that advertisement ever used by the Masons. I did find that the Masons have made use of an illustration of two columns or pillars; it is just not the same as that used in the advertisement. Of course, those whose mind set against Russell can, if they use enough imagination, find what they look for.
