A lot these stories, if they are true, really leads me to wonder if this is not preparing kids to idly sit by while the freedoms are taken away. This reminds me of some things I read many years ago, when, evidently as a result of sending out Bible literature and advertising in many magazines, I somehow got on the mailing list of a "Christian militia" movement that was preparing for battle if the U.S. government rescinds the constitution for a new proposed constitution that allowed the US to become subject to a World government that provided for "privileges" not rights. The thought was presented that the children are being taught in schools to have the mind-set to accept such when it comes. At any rate, while Christians may have to put up with such things, Christian parents have the authority from God to teach their children to stand up for what is right, regardless of the world's reactions. At the same time, however, we should be ever mindful that to get involved in the politics of the world can lead a Christian away from fulfilling his allegiance to Jesus.
The scriptures do seem to indicate that there is yet to be much turmoil that will finally end up with near anarchy world-wide, with only a few people left. We cannot place our trust in any of the governments of the world, no matter how stable they may seem to be at present. (Psalm 143:6) Our hope is in God's Kingdom, not the rulers of this world. -- Matthew 6:33.
