Is smoking a sin? In the sense that one is not only unnecessarily harming one's own body, but the smoker is also unnecessarily harming his/her neighbor, his/her friends, his/her own family, by smoking, yes, it is a sin. (Leviticus 19:18; Matthew 7:12; 22:39) For those who have found solace in Christ and God's promises, love for God provides a strong motive and a source of strength to kick the smoking habit; the flesh, however, is weak, and sometimes help is needed to stop smoking. From time to time someone contributes an article in the Ronsinfo site that is helpful along this line, so I am creating this thread to provide notifications of such articles, as well as other articles on other sites. I do not necessarily agree with all statements given by other authors. May God bless.
