Ephesians 4:30 - Don't grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by means of which you were sealed to the day of redemption.
Many trinitarians claim that this verse proves that God's Holy Spirit is a separate and distinct person of the triune God.
The word "God" in Ephesians 4:30 as well as throughout Ephesians 4 represents only one person. The holy spirit is depicted as belonging to that one person who is God. God's Holy Spirit, being an extension of God Himself, can certainly be grieved.
There is definitely nothing in Ephesians 4:30 that depicts the God of Israel as being more than one person, or that presents His Holy Spirit as being a separate and distinct person of Himself.
The 'Trinity' deception is why I'm here. I'm at the end of my rope with Trinitarians.
In the first 5 centuries nearly the entire Roman Empire - East and West - all of Europe - was non-Trinitarian. Those who followed in the steps of the disciples and carried the doctrines in the 2nd century were ALL unitarian. The agnostics, mystics, and pagan religions influence and corrupted early Christianity. Tertullian began the trinitarian ball rolling. Trinitarianism began in Rome, was argued for almost 400 years, was voted on 3 times before it passed and when it did pass it did so by a very narrow margin of votes. Trinity was an argument that became a 'middle ground' doctrine. Then it was adopted for political reasons under violent, murderous conditions and continued that way for 1700 years even with the Protestants. In 325AD Jesus became God. In 451 the holy spirit became god. And then because there were so many insurmountable 'co-equal' contradictions, the argument continued up to the council at Chalcedon, and that's where Jesus acquired 'two natures'. The entire history of the doctrine is abhorrent and should raise many red flags.
