Greetings again Reslight, Your article does not answer the fact that the Masoretes supplied two different vowel points for YHWH, S#3068, S#3069, and exactly where these two varieties are placed explains why there are two different forms, sufficient proof of Adonai and Elohim. S#3068 is used when YHWH stands alone, and also when we have YHWH Elohim, and #3069 occurs when we have Adonai YHWH. Unfortunately the Jewish listener would lose the significant difference, as both would be read as Adonai Elohim.
I looked again at your OP. The video was very poor quality and did not say much except to denigrate the JWs. He did not mention "Jehovah" until @ [6:40] and briefly speaks about Martini, and @ [11:00] claims that JWs use this "false name" and then the rest of the video is again denigrating the JWs. I found your response to that video and your other posts inadequate.
The reason why I brought it up again is that you have not sufficiently as yet in any of your posts and reference articles adequately answered what I have stated about S#3068 and S#3069, but I do not see the need to repeat and labour the point. To me it is clear, black and white. I am content that there are two points of view expressed in this thread and others can consider both views.
I associate the term "Jehovah" with a few old hymns, which my immediate fellowship use, but we try to sing "Yahweh" with some difficulty when this occurs, and "Jehovah" appears in a few translations and a few old books, and the most common occurrence is by association with the title "Jehovah Witnesses". I am not sure if "Jehovah" is the most common form used in your fellowship, and one reason why you seem to insist on using this. This may be only your personal preference. Perhaps you could be a close follower of Charles Taze Russell as you seem to reference him a great deal, and he may have used this extensively as was common in the period 1850-1900. Do you believe that he was "Spirit-Guided" in this particular usage? Do you believe that you are "Spirit-Guided" in this particular usage or your exposition? I have encountered a few JWs on other forums who are absolutely convinced that "Jehovah" is the correct form.
Kind regards
Trevor
